You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us, And the world will live as one.
My baby don't care for shows My baby don't care for clothes My baby just cares for me My baby don't care for cars and races My baby don't care for high-tone places My baby don't care who knows My baby just cares for me
I'm Cassie. I'm older than I look, and younger than I act. I'm married to my best friend, Jarrod - who I've known for more than half my life. I have 3 beautiful children. Hayden is 7, Vincent is 4, and Luca is 2. We will have more. Stop asking when or how many. We currently live in Valdosta, Georgia because my husband is stationed at Moody Air Force Base. I swore that I would never say y'all. (I do). I also swore I'd never cut it as a military wife (I seem to be doing alright. I think).
I am a student homebirth midwife, certified monitrice, trained birth doula, and breastfeeding counselor and I am majoring in nurse midwifery. I work hard to do what I love. In addition to that, I'm Catholic and a Libertarian (that's not an oxymoron, I swear). I also homeschool (which I love), volunteer as the Cubbies director for the local AWANA program, and do my best to raise my kids as best as I can. I know a thing or two about birth, breastfeeding and alternative parenting (including being anti-vax, anti-circ and I cosleep, babywear, do baby-led weaning, etc). I'm a huge geek (which is so chic now!) I'm a girl gamer, a browncoat, a Trekkie and a future member of the zombie apocalypse response team. I suffer from lupus but I refuse to let it hold me back and I will not use it as an excuse. I've got a family I love, close friends who I hold very near (even if they don't live so close), and even more clients, acquaintances and others whose presence in my life has made me a better person.
I like to live my life with the knowledge that our presence here on Earth is far too short to waste time on being negative. There's so much good in the world if you just allow yourself to see it.
